How do I become a Top Streamer on Skout?

Hi Skout Fam! We're so excited that you're interested in becoming a Top Streamer!

Top Streamer means that you are one of the best broadcasters on Skout and will be displayed at the top of trending. This will help you gain more Favorites 🌟  , Viewers   👁️   and Diamonds   💎   on the app!

Ok, so how do you become a Top Streamer? To qualify for Top Streamer status on Skout we look for:

  • Average viewership of 500+
  • At least 20k Diamonds
  • Regular broadcasts of at least 10mins, twice a week
  • Content that conforms to our Terms of Service

If you don't yet fit these qualifications, but create content on other platforms (like on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram), you should still apply! We look for:

  • Average views per video: 10,000+
  • Subscribers / Followers: 25,000+

Not ready to become a Top Streamer...no worries! Here are some top tips to improve your broadcasts:

  1. Make sure you have a stable internet connection and good lighting - your viewers want to see and hear you!
  2. Think of an interesting topic to discuss before you go Live. Maybe a review of the last movie you saw!
  3. Tell your viewers to "Favorite" your streams. During your broadcasts, encourage viewers to click the "star" 🌟   icon at the top left corner of the stream. When it is highlighted that means they'll get a notification every time you go Live!
  4. Don't be a ghost! Make sure you're in front of the camera when Live and try to stream for at least 20 minutes to get more favorites!
  5. Say thank you and give a shout out by name when you receive a gift from someone! Even better is to write their name down on camera.
  6. Bigger gifts deserve bigger thank yous! If you get a gold star, that's awesome, but if you get a yacht, that's HUGE! Show even more excitement for big gifts!
  7. Set goals. Let your viewers know that if you earn a certain number of diamonds you'll sing a song, do a dance, etc. Make sure they know something fun will happen if you hit your goal!
