Skout wins DEMOgod award at DEMO 09 for the launch of Skout OUT.

New tool that connects singles in social venues with Skout's mobile dating service wins top award at highly regarded technology conference.

San Francisco, CA. March 9, 2009 -- Skout, the mobile, real-time, location-based dating company, has won the prestigious DEMOgod award for the launch of Skout OUT at the DEMO 09 conference in Palm Desert, California.

Skout OUT provides singles in bars and clubs to interact with other singles who are around them via Skout's mobile, social dating network. Leveraging location-based services and 42" touch-screen plasma displays stationed in social venues across the US, single men and women looking for love need only let "their fingers do the walking" to flirt, send virtual gifts, or dedicate a passionate song to someone that whets their appetite.

The DEMOgod award is given to demonstrators that inspire, enlighten, entertain, and - above all - effectively communicate the features and benefits of their debuting products/technologies.

"Skout's presentation of Skout OUT created a buzz with the audience and press who attended DEMO 09", said Chris Shipley, executive producer for DEMO. "Their game-changing product combined, with their energetic and humorous stage presentation, won them the award."

Video of the presentation can be seen at http://www.skout.com/demo09/.

"We are thrilled to be chosen for this top award at DEMO 09", Skout's CEO and founder Christian Wiklund. "Skout OUT is a unique tool that bridges the virtual dating world with the physical one and I'm happy the launch resonated so well with those who attended the event."
